Employment Programmes

Employment Programmes (in brief)

The following programmes are subject to annual improvement, if necessary (on annual basis):

  1. Programme of subsidy of New enterprises for the employment of young and long term unemployed in order to obtain professional experience,
  2. Programme of subsidy for New Free-Lance Professionals (young Entrepreneurs) when they establish their own new enterprise,
  3. Subsidy Programme of Industrial, farming (cattle breeding) enterprises of industrial type, Hotel and Shipping firms,
  4. Subsidy Programme of Industries and Handicrafts to employ of University graduates,
  5. Allowance Programme for resettlement to repatriating people of greek nationality of origin,
  6. Motivation Programme for the facilitation of the geographical mobility of the labour workers,
  7. Subsidy Programme of private enterprises (Business Firms) for employing T.E.I.-S.E.L.E.T.E. students (Tertiary Education),
  8. Subsidy Programme of Hotels for the maintenance of work placements, during winter,
  9. Subsidy of enterprises for 1,500 work placements for unemployed who are close to retirement age,
  10. Special Programme of “Integrated Interventions” which concern Vocational Training, Employment, self-employment, Resettlement of unemployed dismissed from big enterprises and in specific areas or sectors of activity.
  11. “Stage” Work Experience Programme.

Jobless people registered in O.A.E.D. Unemployment Register, are offered medical assistance, in case they remain unemployed.
