The European Year of Skills at DYPA’s 29th Career Day in Trikala

On Saturday, April 13th 2024, DYPA organised the 29th "Career Day" in Trikala, to which 40 businesses participated offering over 1.000 vacancies.

The "Career Day" brings an air of openness which aims at linking jobseekers with businesses and informing the public on the DYPA actions and the European Year of Skills.

Wishing to respond to the rapid technological and economic developments, DYPA adopts the goals of the Strategy for Labour Force Upskilling and Connection to the Labour Market.

DYPA supports all, young, unemployed and employees, acquire new skills and upskill and ensures the quality content of the curricula and upskilling programmes with the help of training programmes and the operation of the Apprenticeship Vocational Schools (EPAS), the Vocational Training Institutes (IEK) and the Experimental EPAS’ since 2021.

The specially designed booth for the European Year of Skills in the area of the Trikala "Career Day" on one hand offers the opportunity to promote the initiative of the European Commission and, on the other hand, ensures that all interested parties will receive the necessary information.

All these "Career Day" events aim to effectively match labour supply and demand. During the 29th event in Trikala DYPA made sure that visitors receive information on the needs of businesses, on the high demand occupations and skills and at the same time on the importance of the year 2023 as the European Year of Skills.
